On July 20, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputy conducted a traffic stop on a GMC pickup truck driven by Penny Carnley due to a traffic violation.
During the stop, the deputy engaged with Carnley and her passenger, identified as Keith Miller. K9 unit Lasso was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics.
Upon questioning, Carnley voluntarily disclosed possession of methamphetamine and handed over a plastic bag containing the substance.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded syringe on the floorboard, which tested positive for methamphetamine.
As a result of the findings, Penny Carnley was placed under arrest and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Keith Miller also faced charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
