Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators met with a family member of the suspects involved in the recent death of a woman at Doctors Memorial Hospital, where the victim had been receiving treatment for several days.
The family member voiced concerns that Diane and Mickey Bowman exploited the elderly woman by unlawfully accessing her funds and property. Additionally, the family member alleged that the Bowmans neglected the woman’s care.
An investigation confirmed these allegations, revealing evidence such as substantial transfers of money from the woman’s bank account to accounts controlled by the Bowmans. HCSO also uncovered evidence of neglect in the care provided to the woman.
Diane and Mickey Bowman are currently in custody, facing charges of elderly exploitation and neglect. The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be forthcoming.
