School Resource Deputy (SRD) Frank Turbeville of the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) gave a special “Show and Tell” presentation to Poplar Springs School students on Thursday, November 20. Students were given a hands-on look at the tools deputies use in their daily work, including radios, gear, and badges. Deputy Turbeville also explained the purpose of each part of his uniform, helping students better understand the role of law enforcement in their community. The HCSO extends its thanks to Deputy Turbeville for making safety education engaging and for showing students what real-life heroes look like. [CONTRIBUTED]
