Early morning on Tuesday, February 17, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and Walton County Fire Rescue responded to a single-vehicle crash off Highway 81 near Pulsey Hill Road in Ponce de Leon.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash knocked down a power pole and required Highway 81 to be closed to 18-wheelers for some time.
Walton Air Rescue was requested, and a landing zone was set up near Highway 81 and 181C.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office has advised motorists to use extreme caution while traveling in the area.
