A high-speed pursuit that began in the Westville area ended with a vehicle crash and multiple charges Wednesday afternoon, according to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that at approximately 4:15 p.m., an HCSO deputy was traveling along County Road 179-A when a Chevrolet Corvette pulled out of the Westville Store, spun sideways, and nearly struck the deputy’s patrol vehicle.
The deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit. The vehicle traveled westbound on U.S. Highway 90 toward Ponce de Leon at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour before turning onto Valley Road. The pursuit continued onto several dirt roads, where heavy dust conditions caused deputies to lose visual contact with the vehicle.
Later that evening, deputies conducting BOLO (Be On the Lookout) patrols located the Corvette on Old Mill Road in Ponce de Leon and attempted another traffic stop. The vehicle again fled, traveling southbound on Old Mill Road before losing control while negotiating a curve. The vehicle went through a fence and overturned.

The driver, identified as Bradley Graning of Illinois, was taken into custody at the scene. He was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, and criminal mischief.
The incident remains under investigation by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.
