BONIFAY – Local non-profit civic organization Friends of Dogwood Lakes honored Holmes County’s firefighters with the “Hearts Afire” event Thursday, Feb 10. The event included dinner and a guest appearance and performance by “Elvis,” played by Jerome Jackson.
Friends of Dogwood Lakes closed out the event by presenting each fire department with a $1,000 donation.
Holmes County’s fire departments include Bonifay, Esto, Gritney, New Hope, Pine Log, Pittman, Ponce de Leon, and Westville.
