An open house will be held March 9–a Saturday–to recognize Esto’s Community Garden.
The event will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at John Clark Park on Commerce Street, around the corner from Esto Town Hall.
“This event promises a day filled with enriching activities for families, children, and community members, marking the commencement of a new year for our Community Garden,” the Town of Esto announced in a news release. “One of the highlights of the day will be informative gardening classes and demonstrations conducted by UF-IFAS. Participants in these classes will receive complimentary gardening kits with essential tools and gloves.”
Community organizations including the Mobile Clinic from Doctor’s Memorial Hospital, BRIC of NW FL, and The Holmes Valley Quilt Guild, among others, will be present.
“Children can look forward to many activities, including inflatables,” the announcement said.
John Clark Park has new improvements visitors can enjoy, such as a disc golf course and a kids’ activity trail.
“The event will also feature food trucks and arts and crafts vendors,” the Town of Esto’s news release said.
Food and craft vendors who want to participate can find applications and details at estoflorida.com.
