Marianna doctor wants to give away hearing aids to someone in need

Dr. Larry Otwell wants to do good for others as Christmas comes near, so he’s looking to give away a set of hearing aids or two.

Otwell has a practice in Marianna and is prepared to give the hearing aids to people who can’t afford them. Anyone in need of hearing aids without the means to afford so can write a paragraph or so explaining their circumstances and mail the letter to Otwell’s office at 4297 3rd Avenue in Marianna, zip code 32466. 

The ideal recipient would be someone who is ‘deserving,’ according to Otwell. Details on financial status are not necessary with applications. 

‘I’d like to get it to them before Christmas,’ he said.

The hearing aids are described by Otwell as ‘brand-new’ and in good quality. A hearing assessment will be done on the chosen recipient before the hearing aids are given away. 

‘This is the time to give back,’ he said.

Otwell has a practice in Chipley as well and is open to giving away hearing aids to two people in the region.

‘We want to take care of our local people first,’ he said.
