Sergeant Mikaela Shirah of the Bonifay Police Department (BPD) stopped by Meme & Pa’s Little Rascals Preschool in Bonifay on Friday, September 5 to visit with the preschoolers. Sergeant Shirah spoke with the children about the role of a police officer, gave safety tips on stranger danger, and showed off a squad car, complete with lights and sirens. In recognition of their outstanding manners and attentive listening, each child received the honorary title of Junior Police Officers for the day. [CONTRIBUTED]
