The Holmes County Education Foundation has announced the award of matching grant funds through the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program, an initiative made possible by the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations.
According to the Foundation’s release, the funds will support more than 20 innovative classroom projects throughout Holmes District Schools during the 2025–2026 school year. The selected projects span a wide range of learning opportunities, including literacy development, STEM enrichment, hands-on creativity, wellness initiatives, and career-focused exploration—all designed to deepen student engagement and strengthen instructional impact.
Foundation representatives spent the day delivering award checks to teachers across the district. Photos of each recipient will be shared so the community can join in celebrating the educators behind these efforts. The Foundation also recognized Board Members Carmen Bush and Jared White for assisting with the timely distribution of every award.
The Consortium of Florida Education Foundations has partnered with local education foundations for more than two decades, providing dollar-for-dollar matching funds to support classroom innovation statewide. Last year alone, the Consortium reported:
- Over $17.5 million invested in Florida education
- $7 million in state funding matched by more than $10 million in private contributions
- 109 projects supported across 57 school districts
- An impact reaching 99% of Florida’s K–12 public school students
The Holmes County Education Foundation says it is grateful for the continued support of community partners who help create meaningful, innovative learning experiences for local students.
