Bonifay Fire Station 1 welcomed Trail Life USA Troop 126 last week, offering the youth group an up-close look at local fire service operations, according to a release from the Bonifay Fire Department.
The troop who is sponsored by Bonifay First Baptist Church and led by Troop Master Coy Pennington, received a full station tour conducted by Lieutenant Martin and firefighter candidate Brown. During the visit, members learned about firefighting equipment, daily station routines, and the department’s role in community safety.
Troop 126 regularly dedicates time throughout the year to service projects and educational activities, including city cleanups and civic engagement initiatives.
The department thanked the troop for its visit, noting that Saturdays at Station 1 “are a lot cooler” when young community members stop by to learn and serve.
