Ellenburg announces candidacy for Holmes County Commission District 2 seat

Wade Ellenburg

Holmes County Commissioner Wade Ellenburg has officially announced his candidacy for election as Holmes County Commissioner for District 2.

A lifelong resident of Holmes County, Ellenburg and his wife have raised their family in the community and have deep roots throughout the county. Ellenburg says his faith, family, and strong work ethic have guided him throughout his life and continue to shape the way he serves the people of Holmes County.

In December, Ellenburg was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to fill the District 2 commission seat after a vacancy occurred. Since taking office, he says he has focused on being available to the people he represents by answering calls, listening to residents, working closely with the county road department, and helping move projects forward across the county.

After serving the past several months, Ellenburg has announced that he will seek election to continue representing the citizens of District 2.

“There is still a lot of work to do,” Ellenburg said. “Over the past several months, we’ve made progress on a number of projects, and I’m committed to continuing that work. I want to stay accessible, work hard every day, and always do what I believe is best for Holmes County.”

Ellenburg said he is grateful for the support, prayers, and encouragement he has received since his appointment and would be honored to earn the trust and vote of the citizens of Holmes County as he seeks a full term as District 2 Commissioner.
