The Esto Town Council has filled a vacant seat on the board following action taken during its July 21 meeting.
During the meeting’s public comment period, Esto residents Paul Holman and Christopher Burghoff each addressed the council and expressed their interest in being appointed to the vacant Seat 3 position.
Following comments from both applicants, council members voted to appoint Burghoff to serve in the vacant seat.
Town Clerk Ben Tew administered the oath of office, after which Burghoff officially joined the council and participated in the remainder of the meeting as a council member.
Town officials thanked both Holman and Burghoff for their willingness to serve the community and welcomed Burghoff to the Esto Town Council.
The appointment fills the Seat 3 vacancy and restores the council to its full membership.
