Holmes county deputies and investigators arrested and charged Lesley Smith on May 17 with sexual battery of a child under the age of 12. During the course of the investigation, Smith was interviewed by investigators. According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), he admitted to committing the offense. He was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail. Due to the nature of the crime and the age of the victim, HCSO will not be releasing any further details at this time.
