The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office has issued arrest warrants for a Graceville man accused of exploiting an elderly resident and stealing valuable property.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators opened a case in August 2025 after receiving a citizen’s report of a possible theft. The case was assigned to a criminal investigator, who determined that Benjamin Earl Kimbrell of Graceville had been living with the elderly victim while falsely posing as a contractor to perform work on her trailer.
During that time, authorities say Kimbrell allegedly took antique coins valued at more than $3,000 and attempted to sell them to multiple individuals.
Following the investigation, warrants were issued for Kimbrell on charges of:
- Exploitation of the Elderly
- Theft
- Falsely Identifying as a Contractor
Sheriff John Tate emphasized the department’s ongoing commitment to protecting vulnerable residents. “The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to safeguarding our citizens, especially the elderly, from exploitation and fraud,” Tate said.
Anyone with information on Kimbrell’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 547-4421.
