Poplar Springs boys eye Final Four
The Poplar Springs Atomics defeated the Graceville Tigers 51–48 Saturday, February 13, to claim the Class 1A District 2 Championship and went on to secure a spot in the Elite Eight Thursday, February 18 with an 80-70 win over Jay in the Regional Semi-Finals. The win is one for the history books, marking the first time the team has made it this far in nearly 50 years. Eager to continue pushing toward the Final Four, the Atomics faced the Central High School Jaguars Tuesday night in the boys' Regional Finals. The score for this game was not available at press time.

PDL Lady Pirates are Lakeland bound
The Lady Pirates represented Ponce de Leon well Tuesday, February 16 with a  72–32 win over Paxton, setting the stage for a place in the Final Four. The Lady Pirates will take on Port St. Joe this evening in Lakeland at 6 p.m.
