Holmes County Public Waste will host Amnesty Day to collect household quantity hazardous waste from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Feb. 25.

For one day only, Holmes County residents are allowed to dispose of items such as pesticides, appliances, car fluids, paint, fertilizers, pool chemicals, used oil and batteries at the Holmes County Recycling Center. 

Due to the hazardous nature of certain components in household computers, old computer hardware such as monitors, processors and scanners will be accepted. 

Conditionally exempt small quantity generators will be accepted at a reduced rate.

The event is open to Holmes County residents only and attendees are asked to bring proof of residency.

The Holmes County Recycling Center is located at 3165 Thomas Dr. in Bonifay.
