The Esto Town Council voted on September 16 to approve Resolution 2026-03, establishing new water rates and increasing the town’s monthly Fire Protection Fee.
The changes, which take effect December 1, 2025, will raise the Fire Protection Fee from $2.50 to $3.50 per month. Officials said the additional revenue will support the Esto Volunteer Fire Department.
Along with the fee adjustment, the resolution sets revised monthly water rates for both in-town and out-of-town customers:
Inside Town Limits
- Base (0–2,000 gallons): $42.15
- 2,001–5,000 gallons: $11.55 per 1,000 gallons
- 5,001–8,000 gallons: $11.74 per 1,000 gallons
- 8,001–12,000 gallons: $11.33 per 1,000 gallons
- 12,001+ gallons: $11.76 per 1,000 gallons

- 8,001–12,000 gallons: $13.24 per 1,000 gallons
