Bonifay Fire-Rescue (BFR) visited Small Worlds Day Care Inc. on Wednesday, February 18, to introduce young children to the world of fire safety.

Students explored Engine #1, tried on the orange, disposable firefighters’ gloves, and used the flashlights that firefighters carry, giving them a hands-on look at the tools and daily work of first responders. The visit provided a gentle, age-appropriate exposure to fire safety, helping children become familiar with firefighters and the role they play in the community.

The firefighters emphasized the importance of starting fire safety education early, fostering curiosity, awareness, and positive connections between children and local first responders.
