The Ponce de Leon High School Lady Pirates basketball team defeated Holmes County High School on Friday, Feb. 9, to claim the district championship–their fourth straight title. The final score was 61-49.
The leading scorers for the Lady Pirates were Alexis Clark (12), Kiyann Alford (12), Mickey Cruz-Findle (12), Klaire Spooner (10), and Jodi Smith (10).
As for the Lady Blue Devils, their leading scorers were Emma Whitaker (25) Carson McGowan (7), and Ava Jones (6).
