Holmes County Sheriff’s Office raises funds for officer battling with cancer

Proceeds from the fundraiser will help support Lt. Brett Wilson Jr. and his family through his recent cancer diagnosis.

Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is raising funds for fellow officer Lt. Brett Wilson Jr., who was recently diagnosed with cancer. HCSO will be hosting a Steak Sandwich Fundraiser on Wednesday, August 20 to help with Lt. Wilson’s medical expenses.

“One of our own, Lt. Wilson, is in the fight of his life against cancer. As he has always stood strong for our community, now it’s our turn to stand beside him,” states Holmes County Sheriff John Tate. “Join us in supporting his journey through this battle.”

The cost of the meal is $10 and includes a steak sandwich, chips, and a dessert. Pre-orders are due August 15, and orders can be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. August 20 at the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office. Delivery is available for local schools and businesses with orders of 5 or more.

To place your order or for more details, contact Lauren Morris at 850-547-4421 or email morrisl@holmesso.org.
