The Holmes County Republican Executive Committee (HCREC) hosted its 2025 Patriot Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 13, at Dogwood Lakes Golf Course. Among the 14 teams registered, Enfinger Plumbing claimed 1st place honors. Holmes County Sheriff’s Office followed in 2nd place, and Sims Signs secured 3rd. In addition to the tournament excitement, teams heard from guest speaker Representative Shane Abbott. The day was more than just fun on the fairway; teams from Holmes County as well as teams from Walton, Jackson, Santa Rosa, and Washington counties played to support the 8 different scholarships HCREC annually awards to students across Holmes County. Next year’s tournament is tentatively scheduled for the second weekend in September 2026.
