On Monday, March 2, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 79 in Esto. The vehicle was being driven by Benjamin Gaskill of Hartford, Alabama.
A driver’s license check revealed Gaskill’s license was suspended. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and deputies located seven individually packaged baggies containing methamphetamine inside the center console. The methamphetamine had an approximate total weight of 23 grams.
Gaskill was taken into custody and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.
