Students from Bethlehem High School, Poplar Springs High School, Holmes County High School, and Ponce de Leon High School recently traveled to Orlando to participate in the 2026 Florida FBLA State Leadership Conference, joining more than 6,000 members from across the state for four days of competitions, workshops, networking, and leadership events.

Bethlehem High School’s Middle Level and High School FBLA chapters both competed at this year’s conference. Middle Level members Cason Hayford and Reed Smith advanced to the Top 5 in Digital Video Production, ultimately placing fifth overall. Bethlehem’s Sit‑Down Volleyball Team also made an impressive run, reaching the Final Four. Advisors shared that, while the chapters did not bring home additional awards this year, students gained valuable experience through competitive events, leadership sessions, and an inspiring keynote message from Gian Paul Gonzalez encouraging attendees to be “ALL IN.” The school expressed appreciation to the community for its continued support.

Poplar Springs High School brought 23 members to the state conference, where students participated in a full slate of tests, competitions, workshops, and networking opportunities. School leaders said they were proud of the students’ engagement and representation at the state level.

Holmes County High School also attended the conference, with several FBLA members competing alongside their sponsor, Mr. Hunter Somerset. School leaders shared that they were proud of these students for continuing the strong tradition of HCHS FBLA, and expressed appreciation to Jackie Adkins for serving as a chaperone on the trip.

Ponce de Leon High School’s Middle Level and High School FBLA chapters also attended and competed at the state conference. PDL High School FBLA member Fisher Weimorts was sworn in as the new Florida FBLA District 2 president, and member Kailey Gilmore qualified for FBLA Nationals in San Antonio, Texas after placing second in Future Business Educator.

Holmes County Schools congratulated all participating students for representing their schools and community with pride at the 2026 State Leadership Conference.
