Poplar Springs High School athletes sign to continue academic, athletic careers

Poplar Springs High School recognized four student-athletes on April 3 during a signing ceremony celebrating their commitments to continue both their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

According to a release from the school, the following athletes signed to compete at the next level:

  • Abby Duffell, track and field, Wallace Community College
  • Anderson McCord, track and field, Wallace Community College
  • Brayden Flores, track and field, Baptist University of Florida
  • Jamal Carnley, basketball, Baptist University of Florida

The ceremony brought together family members, classmates and teammates to honor the students’ accomplishments. School officials noted the group’s dedication, discipline and commitment both in the classroom and in competition.

In its release, Poplar Springs High School expressed pride in the four athletes and their achievements, adding that the school looks forward to seeing their continued success at the collegiate level.
