Bonifay Fire‑Rescue hosted a National Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Responder Training at Station 1 on August 20, led by Joey Tharp, Traffic Incident Management Coordinator for FDOT District 3’s Regional Transportation Management Center. Fire‑Rescue personnel trained alongside officers from the Bonifay Police Department and members of Holmes County Fire Rescue as part of the multi‑agency session.
The training focused on improving coordinated response to roadway incidents, emphasizing responder safety, efficient scene management, and maintaining traffic flow. Road Ranger Rhonda Lord also attended, sharing insight into the role Road Rangers play during traffic incidents and how their work integrates with fire, law enforcement, EMS, towing, and other agencies.
Bonifay Fire‑Rescue expressed appreciation to Tharp, Lord, and participating agencies for their commitment to strengthening roadway safety and interagency cooperation.
