Warren Bailey, a pharmacist at Doctors Memorial Hospital (DMH), recently attended “A New Hope: The Future of Alzheimer’s Care,” a statewide forum focused on advancements in Alzheimer’s disease treatment and diagnosis.
The event convened healthcare professionals, patient advocates, employers, and legislators—including five members of the Florida Legislature and U.S. Congressman Neal Dunn, who represents Florida’s 2nd Congressional District. Participants discussed current barriers to care and examined new developments in early detection and therapeutic options for Alzheimer’s disease.
The forum aimed to encourage collaboration among policymakers and healthcare providers to support ongoing innovation in the management of Alzheimer’s, a condition affecting millions of individuals and families across the country.
