A vehicle accident has left a seven-year-old girl dead and two others with serious injuries, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release. FHP is actively seeking who they believe to be the driver of the vehicles involved.
A Hispanic male, approximately 17-years-old, walked away from the hospital in Bonifay after being transported from the scene of the accident.
At around 6 p.m. on Nov. 10, a sedan type vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highway 181 approaching Highway 81, as an SUV was traveling northbound on Highway 81 approaching Highway 181. The sedan traveled into the intersection which FHP says violated the SUV’s right of way. This caused the front of the SUV to collide with the passenger side of the sedan. The SUV came to a controlled stop on its side on the east shoulder of Highway 81 and the sedan came to a controlled stop on the north shoulder of Highway 181.
