BONIFAY – On July 30, The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office received information that a suspect in a burglary in a Bay County was at the Roadway Inn room 125 in Bonifay.
HCSO Investigators went to the motel and made contact with Jakob Dudley. A female was present as well and was later identified Destiny McConnell.
According to HCSO, Investigators were overwhelmed by the odor of green marijuana coming from inside the room while speaking with Dudley.
Deputies conducted a search of the room and DudleyÂ’s vehicle which revealed approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, approximately one pound of marijuana, Xanax pills and a large sum of money.
Dudley and McConnell were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and , possession of marijuana. Dudley also faces a charge of possession of Xanax with intent to distribute.
Bay County was advised of the arrests and stated their investigation is still ongoing.
