Warrant service leads to drug charge

A Westville man is behind bars after Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies served a warrant at his home on April 24.

HCSO arrived on scene and made contact with Robert Allen Platt, who attempted to conceal himself and flee to a nearby shed. After complying with instructions, Platt was taken into custody. During a search of Platt’s person, a small bag of methamphetamine and a glass pipe were found.

In addition to the outstanding warrant, Platt is also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
