Bonifay couple jailed for warrants, meth and child neglect

A Bonifay couple is behind bars after Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators executed a search warrant at their home.

On April 25,  HCSO served the search warrant at the residence of Charles Lee and Leandra Leverette on Evans Avenue as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Both Lee and Leverette had outstanding warrants for the sale of methamphetamine.

During the search of their home deputies found a baggie containing methamphetamine as well as used narcotics baggies within reach of two minor children and an open bottle of alcohol in the children’s bedroom.

Lee is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia, along with the outstanding warrant.

Leverette is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and two counts of child neglect in addition to the outstanding warrant.
