A Bonifay woman was arrested Thursday after investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence suspected of distributing methamphetamine.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office, investigators served the warrant during the early morning hours of March 5 at a residence on Michigan Avenue in Bonifay.
Upon entering the home, deputies detained the resident, identified as Brenda Gayle Forehand, while investigators conducted a search of the property.
Authorities reported that a glass pipe containing methamphetamine was located on a nightstand beside the bed where Forehand had been sleeping. During the search, investigators also discovered several individually packaged baggies containing methamphetamine inside a closet.
The narcotics had a combined weight of more than 14 grams, according to the sheriff’s office.
Forehand was taken into custody and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
