Ponce de Leon High School graduate Ford Motley has officially signed to play baseball at the Baptist University of Florida.
Motley, a left-handed pitcher and first baseman, is a 2026 graduate and six-year varsity player for Ponce de Leon High School under Coach Todd Rushing. He has also competed across the southern United States with West Florida Baseball Academy teams coached by George Sands for the past three years.
Motley said he is excited to continue his baseball career at the Baptist University of Florida and looks forward to sharing the experience with his cousin, Justin Miller, a 2026 Bethlehem High School graduate who also recently signed with BUF.
Motley expressed gratitude to Coach Albury for the opportunity to play at the collegiate level and thanked his parents, family, teammates, former coaches, and Pirate Nation for their support throughout his journey.
