HCSO confirms identity of man killed in officer involved shooting

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the Alabama man that was killed in the officer involved shooting on Oct. 10, in Bonifay.

The man was identified as 58-year-old Thomas Bradley Evans, of Daleville, Alabama.

Evans was shot during a traffic stop when he pulled a gun from his waistband and attempted to shoot the HCSO deputy. In fear for his life, the deputy returned fire, striking and killing Evans.

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office gave the following statement, ‘While we remain forever grateful for our deputy’s safety, our thoughts are also with Mr. Evans’ family during this time.
