From Skid steers to Fire Department ladder trucks, the event gave city and county workers a chance to showcase the vehicles that allow them to better serve the community.

Bonifay police officers, as well as Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies were quick to interact with the young people as they toured the vehicles. Florida Fish and Game were present to let the young people spray hoses.

Mayor Larry Cooke and the Bonifay Fire Department allowed young people a chance to tour a vehicle while handing out rubber ducks dressed in fire gear.

One Bonifay Officer, Jason Evans, even competed in a jump roping competition with a Bethlehem High School Student. Officer. The children and families enjoyed asking questions as the officers sat them in the patrol vehicles.

“I overheard two little boys speaking as they walked past the City Police cars saying, ‘See I told you, they were nice’,” Library Director Becky Marsh said. “I just want people to know that this made me proud of all the departments and residents that took time to attend.”
