Gynell Pettis-Hunter, who serves as the department’s public information officer, said all vendor fees and proceeds from food sales at the event go to benefit the department’s Christmas Blessings program.

‘This program gives the Christmas spirit back to local families in need,’ she said. ‘The funds stay right here locally. We served a little over 40 children last year.’
