HDSB confirms no threat is present at Bethlehem School

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Department, along with Holmes County Schools district staff are investigating an Internet meme reported by students that references a threat to schools nationwide.

The threats are being posted nationwide on social media apps such as TikTok and Snapchat. This morning reports were circulating of an active shooter at Bethlehem School. The school has been cleared of any threats related the internet posts.

“Holmes District Schools takes all threats seriously both as group threats and individual threats,” said Superintendent Buddy Brown. “We place school safety as a number one priority as do all districts across the state.”
