Council on Aging hosts Christmas event for senior citizens

Senior citizens in Holmes County got to enjoy a lunch and Christmas festivities through an event hosted by the Holmes Council on Aging.

The event was called “A Vintage Christmas” and held at Gully Springs Baptist Church in Bonifay on Friday, Dec. 8. The event was open to people 60 years of age and older. 

The food was prepared and served by the Holmes County High School Culinary Department, while local broadcast journalist Neysa Semmler entertained everyone with Christmas songs–and got the seniors to sing along in some instances.
