BONIFAY – Doctors Memorial Hospital hosted the first annual Tree of Love lighting and Christmas concert Thursday, Dec. 2, on the front lawn of the hospital campus.
More than 100 were in attendance of the inaugural event, which featured music, hot cocoa, and a special moment of memorial silence to honor members of the community and other loved ones who have passed away.
Musical performances were presented by the Bonifay K-8 Treblemakers, Jill Cook, Hailey Morrow, Trish Brannon, Michaela and Andrew Moore, the DMH Choir, and Christine Lauen, who played the handbells.
DMH Director of Pharmacy Warren Bailey and his wife, Amber Bailey, serve as emcees for the evening, which culminated with the lighting of the tree.
DMH administrators say the event is the beginning of what they hope will become a community tradition.
