HCSO charges one in jewelry theft investigation

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office has charged a woman following an investigation into the theft of jewelry valued at approximately $20,000, according to an HCSO news release.

On January 9, 2025, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy met with a victim who reported the theft of multiple pieces of jewelry. Through the course of the investigation, deputies determined that Tamara Green had taken the items and later pawned them at a pawn shop in Chipley.

Investigators were able to locate and recover the stolen jewelry. As a result of the findings, arrest warrants were obtained for Green.

Green was subsequently arrested in Okaloosa County on warrants charging her with Grand Theft and Dealing in Stolen Property. She is currently awaiting extradition back to Holmes County to face the charges, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
