A Holmes County Sheriff’s Office undercover operation conducted Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a woman on prostitution and drug charges, according to information released by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lexus Matevia on February 11, after she allegedly traveled to Bonifay to meet with an undercover deputy for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts in exchange for money.
Authorities said Matevia arrived at a predetermined location arranged during the investigation, where deputies took her into custody without incident.
Following the arrest, deputies conducted a search of her vehicle and reportedly discovered approximately one ounce of marijuana.
Matevia was charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana. She was transported to the Holmes County Jail for processing.
The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office stated the arrest was part of ongoing efforts to address illegal activity and maintain public safety within the community.
