Deputies of the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to an address on Malcolm Taylor Road, December 28, regarding a suspect who broke into a shed and was confronted by the owners.
The suspect, identified as Jonah Kalberg from Georgia, fled on foot into the woods before deputies arrived.
Holmes Correctional K9 and Northwest Florida K9 teams responded and quickly established a track, ultimately locating and taking Kalberg into custody.
Kalberg now faces charges of burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence.
Sheriff Tate extended his gratitude, in a press release, to both Holmes Correctional and Northwest Florida K9 teams for their assistance in apprehending the suspect.
