Trespassing complaint leads to drug arrest in Holmes County

A trespassing complaint led to a methamphetamine arrest on June 9, 2025, according to a release from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a residence on RM Ward Road after receiving a report that Duchess Kirkland was unlawfully on the property. The complainant requested that Kirkland be removed and issued a formal trespass warning. During contact with Kirkland, deputies conducted a search of her purse, which resulted in the discovery of a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine.

Kirkland was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
