A routine traffic stop conducted by the Bonifay Police Department on March 23, resulted in the arrest of two individuals on multiple drug-related charges, according to a department release.

Officers initiated the stop after observing a vehicle traveling well above the posted speed limit. During the encounter, officers reported detecting the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, which provided probable cause to conduct a search.

As a result of the investigation, Josh Johnson and Zion Higgins, both of Carrollton, Georgia, were taken into custody without incident.
