Two facing drug charges after traffic stop

PONCE DE LEON – A man and woman are behind bars on drug charges after a traffic stop yields methamphetamine.

Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies initiated a traffic stop on Nov. 10 of an older model S-10 pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 90 and Ponce de Leon Springs Road. The driver was identified as Andrea Norris.

Norris gave consent for HCSO to search the vehicle. The search yielded a glass pipe and a plastic baggy of methamphetamine. Norris and passenger Jason Travis admitted to ownership of the pipe and methamphetamine.

Travis and Norris are both charged with possession of paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. Norris faces an additional charge of violation of probation.
