Alabama man charged with burglary and grand theft
The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hartford man for a crime committed in October.
HCSO received a report on Oct. 18 regarding theft of copper wire, and investigators were able to identify the suspect with information provided by the victim.
Scotty Hendrix was arrested Dec. 1 when HCSO received notification from the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office that Hendrix was being detained in their jail.
According to HCSO, when investigators spoke with Hendrix, he admitted stealing the copper wire from a property in Holmes County.
Hendrix is charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure and grand theft.
