Holmes County High Theatre to present The Guys

The Holmes County High School Theatre Department, in partnership with the Peppertown Players Community Theatre, will present the powerful stage play The Guys on Sunday, September 7, at 3 p.m. and again on Monday, September 8, at 7 p.m. in the Holmes County High School auditorium. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Set in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, The Guys tells the true story of an editor named Joan who is asked to help Nick, a New York fire captain, write eulogies for his fallen men. Through their collaboration, the two navigate grief, humor, and resilience, ultimately discovering friendship and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

The production will star Bryce Etheridge and Hope Bailey Mancill, bringing to life the emotional and heartfelt narrative that has resonated with audiences worldwide.

In tribute to those who serve, first responders and military personnel will receive free admission. Each performance will begin with a special video presentation and time of recognition for those in attendance. General admission tickets will be available at the door for $5.

Organizers encourage the community to attend this moving performance, which honors the sacrifices of first responders and military members while reflecting on the legacy of 9/11.
