On September 18, 2025, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on JW Stephens Road to serve outstanding arrest warrants on Benjamin Kimbrell.
While taking Kimbrell into custody, deputies observed firearms inside the residence. Kimbrell, a convicted felon, is prohibited by law from possessing or being in the presence of firearms. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence.
A search of Kimbrell’s room revealed several firearms, one of which had been reported stolen out of Holmes County.
Kimbrell was arrested on his outstanding warrants and additionally charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He was transported to the Holmes County Jail to await first appearance.
