Collard Festival in Ponce de Leon set for October 18

The Town of Ponce de Leon will host its third annual Collard Festival on Saturday, October 18 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event, held at 1611 Pirate Cove Road in Ponce de Leon will feature a car show, live music, vendors, kids activities, contests, and, of course, collard greens.

For the car show, on-site registration for antique, classic, and custom cars will be from 9-10 a.m. at $25 per car entry. Tickets to vote on the cars will be available to purchase 5 for $1. The winners will be announced with trophies awarded at 1:30 p.m. before the Festival is over. 

Kade Hill and Kiera Howell will be trading the stage every hour providing live entertainment from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Kade Hill will bring his rock, grunge sound then pass the mic to Kiera Howell for her country vibes.

Food and merchandise vendors will be onsite, alongside various food contests including contests for pepper sauce, cornbread, sweet potato pie, and collard greens. Other game contests will be held for horse shoes, corn hole, and a burlap sack race.
