HCSO traffic stop on Highway 90 leads to drug arrest

A traffic stop on Highway 90 led to the arrest of a DeFuniak Springs woman on January 6, 2025. A deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) pulled over a vehicle for multiple traffic violations and identified the passenger as Danyella Nichols.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered methamphetamine and a smoking pipe on the passenger side. Nichols was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
